Terms of Use

The terms on which ITFG publishes tfg.institute: what the research is and is not, how our publications may be reused, and the limits of our liability.

These terms govern your use of tfg.institute and of the material published on it. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

Last updated: 11 September 2026.

Who operates this site

tfg.institute is operated by I.T.F.G. INSTITUTE FOR TECHNOLOGY FINANCE AND GOVERNANCE, a private company limited by guarantee without share capital, registered with the Cyprus Registrar of Companies under number HE 498068, with its registered office at Chrysanthou Mylona 1, Panayides Building, 2nd Floor, Office 1, 3030 Limassol, Cyprus.

What this site is

The site publishes the institute’s research on the governance of digital financial systems: research notes, policy briefs, working papers, perspectives, and announcements of events. It is a publication channel for that work and nothing more.

What this site is not

Nothing published here is investment advice, legal advice, tax advice, or regulatory advice, and nothing here should be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. Reading this site, citing it, or corresponding with us creates no advisory, client, or fiduciary relationship of any kind.

Our research describes and analyses regulatory frameworks; it does not tell you whether any particular arrangement complies with them. Regulation changes, and a publication states our analysis as at its date of publication. We are under no obligation to update a publication after it appears.

The institute does not provide commercial advisory services and does not act on behalf of commercial interests. Enquiries seeking such services are declined.

Using our publications

Except where a publication states otherwise, the text of ITFG publications and of this site is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, redistribute, excerpt, translate, and build on the material, including commercially, provided you give attribution in this form:

I.T.F.G. Institute for Technology Finance and Governance, [title of publication], [year]. Licensed under CC BY 4.0.

Attribution must not suggest that the institute endorses you or your use of the work. Where a publication carries a different licence on its own page, that licence governs it.

The licence does not extend to our name, to the abbreviation ITFG, to the dot mark, or to the wordmark. These identify the institute and may not be used in a way that suggests authorship, endorsement, affiliation, or membership where none exists. Quoting our name in a citation or in ordinary reporting is of course permitted.

Where a publication reproduces material owned by someone else, such as a quoted figure, table, or extract, that material stays with its own rights holder and the licence above does not cover it.

We link to legislation, regulatory publications, and other external sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability, or how they handle your data. A link is a pointer to a source, not an endorsement.

Availability and accuracy

We take care that what we publish is accurate and that the site works, but we provide both as they are. We do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption, that it will be free of errors, or that it is fit for any particular purpose you have in mind. We may change, withdraw, or republish material.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Cyprus law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, and loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and for fraud.

Using the contact form

The enquiry form is for genuine correspondence with the institute. Do not use it to send unsolicited commercial approaches, bulk messages, unlawful material, or anything designed to interfere with the site or the systems behind it. We may decline to respond and may block abuse. How we handle what you send is described in our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date above records when it last changed.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of this site are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction.
